
The purpose of the Association is to promote stewardship of, to protect and to enhance the watersheds of northeastern Northampton County which include: Slateford Creek, Jacoby Creek, Allegheny Creek,
Oughoughton Creek, Little Martins Creek, Martins Creek, Waltz Creek, and Mud Run and others.
Objectives
- Develop and present educational programs on watershed management for schools, civic organizations, local governments and the general public.
- Provide a forum for sharing information and experiences on watershed management.
- Develop and implement local restoration and protection programs in accordance with appropriate management strategies and techniques.
- Support state, and national programs, policies and legislation promoting watershed and water resource management.
- Develop and influence local programs, policies and legislation promoting watershed and water resource management.
- Facilitate cooperation and interaction with organizations, agencies, units of government, and individuals concerned with watershed improvement and protection.
- Promote enforcement of laws and legislation designed to protect watersheds.
Meetings are held at 6:30 PM on the second Thursday of each month at the Lower Mount Bethel Township Welcome Center located at 7701 Martins Creek/Belvidere Highway, Bangor, PA
